1KA Panels
What is it?
The story of this project begins as a group research project at university, as part of the course “Project-research practical training”, where we had to research and prepared a detailed report / plan of action for an actual client. For us, this client was 1KA, and our project was researching and designing a plan to develop a panel management system for 1KA.
In survey research, a panel is a large pool of participants who signed up to receive surveys to fill out, either with a promise of a reward or not. When users sign up, they give out their demographic data, which is then used by panel owners to draw on particular target groups with specific demographic characteristics.
The aim was to research existing panel management tools on the market and analyse their features and designs, in order to inform and plan 1KA’s future design.
More then a year later, I got tasked with actually designing the feature, as I was the co-author of the paper and had prior experience on the topic.
The design was not completed and was put on ice after I had started writing my master thesis, although it is not far from complete.
Who's it for?
The design was created for the 1KA web survey platform.
My role
In the group project I was primarily a researcher, and later the only UX designer.
