DesignFlows contest submission
My submission for the digital design contest "DesignFlows"
February 2025
What is it?
Designflows is an annual design contest run by Bending Spoons. The 2025 brief asked participants to design a mobile app for managing Hexabots, multi-purpose robots used in a fictional lunar colony for everything from mining to household tasks.
The deliverable was a wireflow of up to 12 screens plus 3 high-fidelity screens, covering a single user scenario: a researcher needing to quickly dispatch a Hexabot to gather materials for a turbine prototype. The brief specified two distinct user groups with almost nothing in common. Researchers multitask under pressure and need speed. Families are non-technical and need simplicity. Getting the same interface to work for both without defaulting to the lowest common denominator was the core design problem.
